Matteo Trucillo, son of the founder, personally takes care of these high-class bar blends. His maxim is absolutely perfect and flawless processing and roasting. His own standards for this variety meet the high quality requirements of an Espresso Italiano coffee.
At first glance, a genuine Espresso Italiano has a hazel to dark brown crema with a very fine texture (no large meshes or larger or smaller bubbles). The espresso has an intense aroma with notes of flowers, fruits, toasted bread and chocolate. All these flavours linger long after the first sip. Its taste is round, strong and velvety. Acidity and bitter notes are well balanced and neither outweighs the other.
Trucillo Gran Caffè is such a typical Italian espresso. A balanced blend of the world's most select Arabica and Robusta beans. The aim is to bring out the best characteristics of each bean variety. Raw beans from Brazil, Nicaragua and Ethiopia are used for the Gran Caffè. After careful selection of the beans, they are refined for a long time at a medium roasting level in a drum roaster. The long and gentle roasting prevents the beans from overheating and allows them to develop the most wonderful aromas. The Gran Caffè thus develops an aromatic intensity with delicate notes of vanilla and roasted almonds as well as a scent of fresh fruit and flowers.
The Robusta content provides an excellent hazelnut-brown crema with a fine, velvety consistency. A sip of this masterpiece is smooth and is described by espresso connoisseurs as pleasantly round. The delicious aroma paired with the unforgettable taste experience make for a pleasure that appeals to all the senses.
