Duralex was founded in 1939 and has been manufacturing glassware and tableware products in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin, a town in the heart of France, ever since. Since 1939, when Duralex invented the process of tempering glass, the Duralex name has been associated with durable glassware thanks to the company's proprietary tempering process. The original tempered (toughened) Picardie glasses are still made in France and are known as the "Original French Tumblers". Picardie glasses are the perfect weight: they are functional and stylish, and fit very well in the hand. They are equally suitable for cold and hot drinks, conveniently stackable, impact and breakage resistant, microwave and dishwasher safe. With the help of continuous investment and commitment to quality, Duralex has reached a level that makes its products known worldwide. Duralex remains a true French manufacturer of glass and table products and is the only glass manufacturer that produces 100% of its products in France.
Duralex is manufactured to withstand sudden temperature extremes from -20°C to 110°C and is suitable for hot or cold liquids.
