As the first roaster in Italy, Oro Caffè has joined the Beyond Fair Trade project and is significantly involved in its progress. As the name suggests, this project goes beyond paying a higher price to help disadvantaged producers: The proceeds are reinvested directly by the AKHA tribe to support the development and improvement of living conditions in local communities.

The Thai Doi Chaang coffee is supported by this project and is as diverse as its country. In the nose, the exotic Doi Chaang Arabica is reminiscent of hazelnut and cocoa. The taste captivates with a light citrus note, which is accompanied by cocoa and nut aromas. 30% of the Arabica beans used come from the Doi Chaang plantation.

The Doi Chang beans are refined with Arabicas and Robustas from Brazil, Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Vietnam. The beans are first roasted slowly and gently, variety by variety, at temperatures between 200 and 220 degrees Celsius, before they are blended into a balanced mixture.

In the espresso cup, the Doi Chaang shows a very fine and compact crema of a hazelnut brown color.
