A coffee expert friend of ours brought this fabulous espresso to our attention. According to Antonio Ardente, it's still a real insider's tip. In 1959, Franco Mondi's father opened a BAR in Rome and roasted his own coffee. The small roastery is a founding member of the CSC (Caffè Speciali Certificati). A certificate whose high standards give the assurance that the highest quality criteria are met from cultivation to the cup. Do not be fooled by the just modernized design of the packaging. Mondicaffè from Rome - What a wonderful discovery.
We were immediately thrilled when we tried this espresso for the first time. In particular, the THE BOCS of Mondicaffe has done it to us. Normally, 100% Arabicas are not necessarily our cup of tea, but exceptions once again prove the rule.
This roaster can justifiably be called small and fine. Franco Mondi continues what his father started in 1959. A small bar in the heart of Rome is the initial for its own roastery.

Caffè Speciali Certificati
Mondicaffè is CSC (Caffè Speciali Certificati) certified.
The association was founded in Livorno in 1996 and Mondicaffè is even one of the founding members. The certificate guarantees the high quality standards of the coffees. The test criteria include all processes for the production of a premium coffee. (Harvesting, preparation of green coffee, transport, storage and roasting). ISO certification at all levels of production means that the customer can rely on a product of the highest quality.
No wonder, then, that Mondicaffè The Bocs is currently the number 1 coffee in our office. Excellent both in the fully automatic coffee machine and in the portafilter.
